Most of this well known Australian author’s books are a joy to read, but this one literally took my breath away.
A movie based on this book was released, set in the small Western Australian town of Denmark that faces the Southern Ocean. Simon Baker (The Mentalist) produced and acted in the movie. Everything about the movie was well done — the acting, the setting, the surfing photography — but Simon changed the ending — the ending that took my breath away.
